Meet Lukewarm

Let me tell you about myself.

My name is Lukewarm,

And my surname is Christian.

I'm a child of the way,

Yet I love to do things, most times, my way.

I love God; I think I am born again.

I read my Bible when I feel like it;

I also read my Bible regularly, but with no application.

Oh, and I pray too, sometimes.

I am someone you can describe as neither hot nor cold.

I attend church regularly, I mean, on Sundays,

But live my life to the fullest on other days.

I don't see anything wrong with it.

My surname hasn't changed from Christian.

Oh yes, I serve at my denomination too;

I am very diligent.

But my diligence can also be used in the world;

I'm diligent in my partying, drinking, and vibing to any kind of music.

Sometimes, I sin too, but you know, God understands.

I just want a soft life;

I can't carry the cross on my head.

After all, I am not the way;

I will leave it for those in ministry.

All of us are running this race, and we'll make heaven.

I find myself giving excuses, yes,

Especially to the deep things of God.

I don't like stress!

What will happen to my swag?

Whatever I do, however I dress, whatever I say, doesn't matter.

The state of my heart, that's what matters.

I will dress to kill and give it to anyone that crosses my path.

I decide who to forgive and who not to forgive.

I'm Lukewarm Christian.

I can have a change of name from Lukewarm to Fervent,

But it takes my intentional decision.

Who do I remind you of?

I hope not you.

I have read about myself in the scriptures,

And God said He will spit me out.

He told me to depart from Him;

I worked but was a worker for iniquity.

He said that those He called His own live according to His Word.

He said they are transformed as they behold Him through His Word and Prayer.

He said they are unashamed to live His way.

So I ask again,

I hope I don't remind you of you!

Don't mistake me for Growing Christian.

I am Lukewarm Christian.

This is my warning sign to you.
