Pride

Standing tall,

Feeling quite important,

Thoughts flooding my mind,

Of how special I am.

Does life really hover around me?

Am I that important?

Can people really not do without me?

Will life go on pause,

Or will the activities of people stop in my absence?

Open your eyes, dear one!

The laborers are few,

But not small.

Remember Elijah, dear one!

Remember he thought he was the only prophet standing and alive.

It doesn't take God anything to raise more men to replace the lost.

Remember He had Elijah understand that He had prophets whom He kept.

Do not let

Pride,

Self-worth,

Self-importance,

Overconfidence,

Rob you of your relationship with the one you love.

Remember, beloved,

God despises the proud,

But gives grace to the humble.

He exalts the humble.

Hence, if you find yourself in a position,

God allowed it!
