Unveiling My True Identity

Some time ago, I always broke down

Because I listened to the wrong person.

I let someone who had lost his identity

Tell me a lie about my identity,

Dragging me into his mess.

I withdrew from a lot of people.

I gave in to all types of emotions.

Depression came knocking,

And so did strange thoughts.

I cried in secret.

Yes, I did,

And I came out with a bold and daring face,

Not wanting to smile at the world

Because I didn't see a need to.

And when I smiled,

99% of the time it was fake.

But that's not my story anymore.

Someone found me

And told me my identity,

And He can help you too.

Maybe your situation is worse than mine,

Similar to mine,

Or less than mine,

But it's all the same.

Let's fight the enemy together.

Let's guard our hearts together.

I believe you can come out of your pain,

And you can heal too,

Because I did.
