What If?
'What if you fall down these stairs?'
I began to analyze the consequences, and a short clip played in my mind of the whole scene.
I shook my head and ensured I was extra careful coming down.
Standing beside the rail on the balcony, another thought dropped in:
'What if you fall backwards?'
I turned to look at the distance between where I was and the ground, and a short clip played in my mind of the whole scene.
I shook my head and moved to a safer spot.
Every day, at different times, this thought keeps popping up:
'What if this, what if that...'
The clips that follow are never funny or entertaining.
Do not be ignorant of the Devil's devices, lest he takes advantage of you.
All he needs to do is suggest a thought; the moment you accept and entertain it, it becomes yours.
He places thoughts that lead to fear, causing unnecessary caution, fear of the unknown. And guess what? He'll work to make your deepest fears a reality, just like Job.
Fear is the Devil's foothold.
But God has given His angels charge over you, and with His right hand, He will uphold you.
Fear is the Devil's calling card.
Dogs are sensitive to fear, and so is the devil.
Do not give him a foothold or dial his number.
Next time the devil drops fear-provoking thoughts, tell him, 'No thank you!'
If he says, 'What if?' reply, 'What if nothing!'
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!
Cast down every imagination and thought that rises against God and His word!
Don't analyze his thoughts; don't think about it. Rebuke and resist!
