Wandering for so long with nowhere to call home. Wandering for years with no one to call family. Born into slavery. Born into fear. Born into the orphanage. Walking down the dark aisle one day, in fear and tears... I saw a light! Shocked because light isn't what we normally see. I had heard how people saw a light one day and were taken away from this horrible place, and I always thought they were lucky. Facing the light, I didn't know whether to run or scream. But then, I felt different. New emotions emerged: life, love, hope, peace, ownership. What was this light? As I took a step forward, it moved closer too! I eagerly desired to touch it, and I could feel its warmth. When I got close enough, I couldn't move anymore.
