Don't Judge Me!

I grew up in a home,

That felt like a house.

Some days it felt like imprisonment,

And other days like an establishment.

So, however you see me behave now,

Don't Judge me!

Whatever attitude I display,

That's how I am!

You don't know what I went through in that house,

Even in other houses I visited,

Don't judge me,

Unless you have been in my shoes.

I just want to live my life,

Do whatever it is to drive away the memories,

Catch up on all I couldn't earlier,

And escape reality.

Don't Judge me,

I'm a prisoner,

To myself, my past, words, pains and hurt.

I am a prisoner to traits in my lineage.

Don't tell you understand my pains,

Don't tell me you know what I'm going through,

Don't tell me it will be fine and

Don't tell me that's hope!

I can't forgive myself for all I have done,

My words and my deeds.

I can't forgive the body of Christ,

For the church hurt!

I can't seem to forgive you,

For listening to me and feeling pitiful for me!

Only I can blame myself,

Don't dare judge me!

I have no right to judge,

Because I cannot understand what you went through.

I cannot tell you you will be fine,

Because I doubt you understand what that means.

But I can tell you of one who did understand,

He foresaw it would happen,

He couldn't do anything because the earth was handed to another god,

But He did everything to gain you back.

The only person that can give you reasons to heal,

The one who was hurting while you were hurting and

Was hurt more when you rejected His comfort.

He died to gain you,

He rose to give you victory,

Ascend to ensure glory is associated with your victory and

Is seated at the right side of His father, interceding on your behalf.

You do not have a high priest that's untouched by your pains,

He purchased you with His blood from every tribe and nation,

He can make you a new creature, and

He will help to heal.

I won't judge you,

But don't you think you're giving the enemy too chance,

To hurt yourself by not accepting to forgive yourself,

What good has holding onto your past and pains caused you except more bitterness.

I grew up in a home

My words and my deeds.

I can't forgive the body of Christ,

To hurt yourself by not accepting to forgive yourself?

What good has holding onto your past and pains caused you except more bitterness?

Whatever you went through,

You're not alone.

I'm here for you,

We all are.

Even if you cannot explain in detail,

He hears your heartaches.

So I'll listen to your silence and sobs—

Let's heal together.
